The Position

This is an exciting position with two focus areas.

Your main responsibility will be to bring in new customers and increase the revenue from existing customers with a base in Odense and travels to international customers.

Additionally, you will work directly with the two owners in the Odense office to create new sales processes, the necessary sales environment and to push the organization in a sales oriented direction. Over time we assume you will build and manage the sales division in the company.

The initial set of primary tasks will be:

  • Sell projects and develop customer relations
  • Sales lead generation
  • Seek and develop new customers
  • Account management
  • Sales process management
  • Create and improve the marketing plan
  • Participate in trade shows

The key criterias for this position are:

  • Increase revenue
  • Increase marketshare
  • Increase the number of customers
  • Increase brand awareness

The Company

Viking Software creates software with a focus on great user interfaces. Particularly in the area of embedded software, where we create iPhone delicious user interfaces for robots, industrial ovens, medical devices, or washing machines. Other examples are the infotainment system in cars or a 3D view of the road you are digging for or laying asphalt on. We also create good user interfaces on Windows, Linux and Mac for a broad range of industries.

The company headquarter is in Odense. Software developers are hired all over Europe, and work either from the offices in Odense or Barcelona, or remote from home.

The daily life in the company is mostly on-line, where all employees meet on the chat system. It’s an atmosphere of a very high professional level and a lot of humor. All employees have a high degree of responsibility and freedom to define their role in the company.

We are extremely skilled at solving the customers’ problems. We need your help to increase the sales and drive the continued expansion.

Professional Skills

You have a mercantile or technical education. First and foremost, you have relevant experience in selling advanced IT solutions or other technical project based BtB sales and a strong sales background.

Driving sales and creating close customers relations comes natural to you. You are self motivated and a very persistent and energetic person. In addition, you can manage a multitude of large and long term projects and still be able to prioritize in order to achieve your goals.

Team spirit is crucial. Almost all your colleagues are software developers to whom you will create close personal relations to secure presales support and customer success stories.

You will enjoy getting an academic challenge in a flat and informal organization.

You must be very good at English, both written and spoken. Danish and German is a bonus, but it is not mandatory.

Expect up to 40 travel days a year, as almost all customers are international and trade shows are in other European countries.
