The Idea of an All-in-One Solution
This customer story concern a collaboration on a product development project, based on the idea of an all-in-one solution. Our collaboration with DEIF began when they were in need of a product development. Then, Viking Software were given the responsibility of developing and visualizing a new illuminated indicator display series (XDi) as a modern graphical user-interface. Since then, we were invited to take part in finishing a new release of the XDi series due to a tight deadline.
It creates a strong partnership knowing that Viking Software can enter a project with short notice. And they always deliver highly competent, qualified, holistic and elaborated work.
About DEIF
DEIF is a supplying partner within Marine/Offshore, Wind-power and Land-power industry. They have until recently been producing and selling traditional mechanical scales and pointers, such as bridge instruments for the maritime industry. They were partly inspired by the market development, and partly motivated by customers’ need for new modern solutions and DEIF’s own desire to develop the product range. And thus, the idea of an all-in-one solution evolved.
DEIF contacted Viking Software in order to have the idea developed and visualized. The new illuminated indicator display series (XDi) was developed as a modern graphical user-interface. Amongst many benefits optimized the product range from 250 units down to 3 different displays sizes.
Viking Software helped us getting the project started the right way. And we avoided the difficulties which a wrong direction could have led to.
A familiar face
A few years after launching the XDi series, DEIF asked Viking Software to take part in finishing a new release of the XDi software. Due to a tight deadline, and given the expertise and familiarity of Viking Software, we started with only a day’s notice. But we managed to finish in time for launching the new release.
